For the first night presented by Red Brick Events, we have decided to showcase 'The Five Wonders of Dance', a wide range of sets starting with At:las and Maddie Lowe spinning some groovy disco ready to get you into the groove of the night. Following that we have Cassine playing funky house, of which she has played at massive events in Liverpool such as Lost and Raw. We then move on to Ducci mixing garage, building up the tempo of the night. The headliner, Soko, will be playing Drum and Bass, getting the whole crowd skanking and moving like mad. For the final set we have Will Kirk back to back with Classick mixing Bassline, 140 and Grime to get the whole crowd pointing gun fingers. This will be a launch party unlike any other due to two main reasons, Firstly, the range of talent from all genres of music will mean that everyone can come and dance and secondly, the night is all students, meaning that you'll be supporting students doing what they love best!
At:las (Matthew Browne) is an Environmental Science student studying at the University of Liverpool and is also a firm member of the DJ Society. He plays across the full spectrum of dance music from Drum and Bass to Disco. I have played for Shadows Liverpool, supporting Cause & Affect and also played at the University Guild Summer Party. Artists that influence me include My Nu Leng and Bushbaby. — https://soundcloud.com/atlas_livsw
Madeline joined the DJ society last year as a fresher. She has always had an interest in music and DJing, stemming from her dad’s DJ experience. Now she can DJ disco, tech house and techno but has a liking for most types of dance music.
She learnt to DJ with LOST UK’s resident DJ Liam Ross who runs Blue Box DJ Academy. Through this she played at Smithdown Music Festival earlier this year.
She will be the Marketing Officer of the DJ society this year and hopes to DJ around Liverpool in the future.

Cassine is a tech-house and funky DJ but dibbles and dabbles in tech, vocal house and disco too. She won LOST’s Christmas Disco Competition in 2017 which led to her being invited to play many other events:
— Techno Tuesdays
— Secret Disco Club
Cassine recently made it into Honey Dijon’s top 10 of the Smirnoff Equalising Music competition 2018.
She will be Co-Vice President of the University of Liverpool DJ Society this year.
While still new to the scene Ducci has hit the ground running. He has gone from a complete beginner to holding two residencies all in the space of a year, you’re likely to find Ducci’s name on 140 and D&B nights in Liverpool. As well as doing all that, in such a short period of time, he has had the opportunity to play at festivals that are starting to gain big attention, including Afterjam Ski Festival and Liverpool’s own Baltic Weekender. Ducci’s passion for dark gritty rollers and chest thumping bass guarantees you will not forget one of his sets easily. The love he has for mixing is what consistently drives him to improve and innovate. Expect big things in the years to come not only in his sets but in his production.
Will Kirk is currently one of the hottest DJs in the Liverpool scene. The Spektrum Events co-founder/resident has previously supported the likes of DJ Q, Distinkt, Benny L as well as securing a spot at the popular Baltic Weekender festival.
Following an 'expect the unexpected' music style, his thrilling sets blur the lines between Bass, Grime, DnB and everything in the middle — never one to be missed when he's on the line-up.
Red Brick Events have managed to secure Will Kirk for an exclusive 100% Bassline back-to-back with our head honcho CLASSICK; Liverpool be ready, the bar will be raised!
While fresh on the scene, CLASSICK will be going back to back with Will Kirk on a unique bassline set including some garage and dubstep as well. CLASSICK, who closed the DJ Societies garden party at the Sphinx, will make sure the whole crown is bouncing by the end of the night. With influences of Dr Cryptic, Holy Goof and TQD as well as Joker, Commodo, Skintdisco and Distinkt, this will be a set to remember!
