Father's Day weekend this year sees the twenty-first rally of the Russell Newbery Register Ltd at the museum.
The rally provides an opportunity for you to see a range of visiting boats, and particularly their Russell Newbery engines with most running at some time throughout the weekend.
The private rally starts on Wednesday 13 June so you will be able to see the boats from then up to the weekend.
On Saturday there will be a mass engine start up — not for the faint-hearted!
Russell Newbery was founded in Altrincham in 1909 by Frederick Russell and William Newbery following their apprenticeships at the factory of one Frederick Henry Royce at Trafford Park. Mr Royce was to become a partner with the Hon. Charles Stewart Rolls and the rest of that story needs no telling here!
Definitely one to bring your Dad to, as a treat, for Father's Day Weekend!
Usual admission prices for the museum apply. Remember you can use your annual pass as many times as you like to visit the museum during the year, including event days.
