UK 8 piece ska band.
Lightyear, one of the UK’s most loved live bands, have re-formed permanently and are in the process of writing new material.
The band has a reputation for passionate live shows that include Morris dancing, pantomime horses, fire breathing and even a bit of nudity. Lightyear will be touring to celebrate 20 year...s of being a band.
The band are also raising funds through PledgeMusic to create a documentary that covers the lost UK ska/punk scene from the turn of the century.
Rising from the fields of East Anglia in 2007, LUVDUMP smash together a mix of fast, and melodic hardcore punk, ska-punk, and dub reggae with political and socially conscious lyrics. With a live set described as 'pure energy'. The band plays all over the UK as much as possible, and touring Mainland Europe. Playing anything from squats, fields and free parties to festivals, pubs, clubs and benefit shows for d.i.y grassroots projects.
LUVDUMP are strong supporters of the D.I.Y scene, Antifa action, Squatting, de-criminalisation of weed (grow your own) and hold strong Anti-sexist, Anti-Racist and Anti-homophobic views.
NO BORDERS, NO NATIONS, NOBODY IS ILLEGAL!!! ONE WORLD, ONE STRUGGLE, ONE SPECIES, ONE LOVE!!
Wadeye are a 5 piece punk rock band. Sozzlecore? Call it what you want. Based in Manchester. Formed sometime during Summer of 2012, Wadeye have been gigging relentlessly since.
The name comes from a remote town in northern Australia known for gang violence between members of its primarily indigenous community. We adopted the name Wadeye after watching a documentary about it and discovering it’s a really fascinating place to google about. It would appear despite the much documented violence (between gangs named after heavy metal bands), the inhabitants manage to put their differences aside and still find unity during heavy metal dance-offs.
Wadeye are 100% DIY, 0% Profit, Anti-Police, Anti-Crime, Anti-Dick Head, Anti-Margeret, Pro-Choice, Anti-Pro Government and Pro-Anti Government, Anti-Antidisestablishmentarianist and Pro-Anti-establishmentarianist, Anti-Anti-Anti-Inappropriate use of Double-Negatives, Anti-Capitalist, but Pro-Relaxed rules on Capitalisation (and hyphenation) when writing childish lists and always Pro-Partying Hard (like Andrew WK).
