We’re back for the 3rd year in Liverpool for a Saturday night like no other! Get your friends, family and colleagues together and cycle Nightrider together to raise funds for charity.
Nightrider is a fully supported night-time charity bike ride. The event is not timed and it’s not a race — it’s about having a great night, seeing the sights and raising funds.
There are two routes available, choose from a 100km or a 50km ride. Both are circular and start and finish at the same place, the Pier Head. The route consists of two loops, the first is 50km around the Wirral and the second is 50km around the city. The first section of the ride is in the Wirral, so we have made special arrangements to have the Mersey Tu...nnel closed so you can safely cycle through. Once on the Wirral Peninsula you’ll head north to New Brighton before following the coast all the way to the Royal Liverpool Golf Club and West Kirby. After a break stop over here you head back round through Port Sunlight to cycle back through the tunnel (closed once again). The second stage takes in more world-famous landmarks: Liverpool's historic waterfront, Albert Dock, Echo Arena, Empire Theatre, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, Knotty Ash, Anfield Stadium (Liverpool FC) and Goodison Park (Everton FC).
If you are cycling the 50km route, you can choose to do the Wirral loop or the City Centre loop. If you are cycling the 100km you will do both!
This is a ride to take in the sights. We put as many highlights of the area as we can, and you can expect to see some hidden treasures along the way as well. It really is a unique way to explore the city and surrounding areas.
Full support, back up and regular break stops are provided throughout the night and a well-earned breakfast and medal at the finish.
