Stromboli stuffed w/ Roasted Red peppers n Seitani
Sea Style Jackfruit on bread
Corny, Quinoay Fritters (GF)
Pea Pesto Pasta (GF)
Pick 1 or 2 of these and your salad to go with — hummus, coleslaw, greens n other bits and bobs!
Price = donations towards the charity VSO so please give reasonably!
They'll also be 10% off at the bar for all you charitable folk and Wide Open tunes being spun by Ranga from 4pm in Rat Alley (entrance through Garden) so come down and grab yourself a bevvie, SCRAN some vegan foodstuff and have a good ol' rummage!
Twice the satisfaction is guaranteed — you'll be raising money for 2 fabulous charities. All your pennies from the SWAP will be sent to The Whitechapel Centre who work tirelessly to change the lives of Liverpool's most vulnerable and all the donations for SCRAN will be going directly to VSO the world's leading international development organisation!
I, Rebecca, will be volunteering with VSO in Uganda for 3 months in September (excited!) setting up a social development project with the community of Lira so I'm raising funds for the project in preparation (ATM I'm living on just a quid of food and drink a day!) You can read more on my Just Giving page (on event wall as sends everything skewiff here!)
The (slightly stodgy) bits you need to know about the SWAP:
⚫ IT'S ONLY FIVE QUID IN! That'll feed 10 hungry homeless mouths a fat fry up!
⚫ Only bring garms that someone else will love and rock! (No sweaty white t's or tammy girl tops from 2004 pls!)
⚫ Drop off clothes any time before the event at the Kaz Gardens in a bag with your name on (cotton totes preferred over plazzy) or on the day before 5pm so the swapping can commence promptly!
⚫ If you can't make bang on start time (5pm), still pop down and join in (but swaps work best if you and your clothes are there from the beginning.) We'll be selling stuff that hasn't found a new home after the first couple of hours and everything left at the end will be wizzed up to OPEN DOOR (The Whitechapel's Charity Shop) so if your wardrobes bustin' a the seams bring it all down (but no more than 10 tokens for you, soz aba tha)
⚫ We're gonna keep it strictly to clothes to avoid a big mess so no bags, shoes or bits of trash pls!
Any questions just shout and we hope to see you all there!
